Saddle Up with the Mamaritaville Mom Club
Jasmine, the heart behind Mamaritaville, a vibrant local mom group based in Cape Coral, personally reached out and invited me to one of her social events. This one? A rodeo-themed horseback riding afternoon at SWFL Horses, complete with a BBQ cookout. Never did I think I’d need to be on the back of a horse, yet there I was.
When we arrived, Jasmine was already running around setting up food, drinks, and sweet little details. No time for introductions, I jumped in to help where I could. Once I had a moment to look around, I noticed the cutest setup: picnic tablecloths, sunflower decor, hand fans, and fun necklaces for each mom. It was clear Jasmine doesn’t just bring the vibes she is the vibe.
Everyone gathered around, mingling as the breezy energy kicked in. Boots were out, cowboy hats were on, and once the horses were ready and waivers signed, we were off. I volunteered to go first because I was nervous. “Be scared and do it anyway,” they say. My horse, Roman, was older, gentle, and made the ride feel peaceful.
After we returned, the smell of freshly grilled food hit us. The kind of food that didn’t last long enough to make it into any photos or videos. I almost feel cruel describing it: creamy mac and cheese I still dream about, seasoned and crispy chicken and ribs fresh off the grill, baked beans, and that heavenly cornbread. You get it, it was incredible.
Where was it catered from? Jasmine. Yes, she cooked. On top of scouting the venue, decorating, organizing, and hosting, she prepared the entire meal. And the surprises didn’t stop there. When Jasmine jumped in and started line dancing, it took all of two seconds for all the ladies to join.
I was intrigued. I’ve never met someone so lively and grounded all at once. When I finally got her all to myself, we talked about the heart behind the group. I was surprised to learn she does it all solo. From planning events to finding venues, curating vendors, and pouring love into every detail this is her passion project.
She wasn’t afraid to dip into the deep topics with me, her set backs, motivation and goals, and how she chose to transform her own experiences into a safe space for other moms. She alchemized pain into something healing for others. It was the kind of quiet magic that leaves you better just by being around it. I left deeply inspired.
No words can fully capture the experience of meeting Jasmine in person. But if you’re looking for connection, joy, or just a break from your usual routine, I highly recommend catching one of her next events. I definitely will.
